Analogue Addressable Fire
Alarm Systems
The addressable sensors are sequentially
interrogated by the intelligent panel which uses their numbers (addresses) to
ascertain their analogue level. The word "intelligent" is used to
describe these panels because they take decisions centrally on information
provided by the external sensors. A fire threshold determined by LPC
requirements is set in the panel so that if one or more analogue levels rise,
then the alarm will be operated.

At a
lower threshold, a pre-alarm is triggered, operating a separate sounder in an
office or warden's flat for example, which is vital in giving advance warning
in the case of slow or moldering fire.
The Firebox 3302 is a double loop analogue addressable panel, which offers a
wide range of innovative features. |
- 80 character display.
- 16 zones capability with individual zonal
indicators and text display.
- 2 Loop panel, expandable to multi loop with
network card possibility.
- 99 detectors, 99 modules address capacity per
loop.
- Self contained 24 volt rechargeable battery
loop & repeater connected.
- Full text downloading in seconds using laptop
computer.
- Self learning of detector address to aid
commissioning.
- Attractively designed panel of fire retardant
polycarbonate construction.
- Separate battery compartment for easy
inspection.
- Earth fault detection on all output
circuits.
- Easy to install repeater panel, providing
indicator test & scroll function.
- In the event of a fire or fault, display shows
location text, zone, type of sensor and analogue level.
